friends

I think the measure of how good of a friend someone is with you can easily be calculated by how many activities you are willing to do with that friend.

There’s a lot of activities in life you can enjoy with someone else, and most of them are surprisingly intimate. For instance, I would be pretty down to watch a movie with some acquaintances, but feel kinda reluctant to get smashed with them.

There’s drinking socially, drinking unhealthily, eating, sleeping, watching a movie/show, playing sports, playing games, going on a trip, having discussions on retarded shit, having discussions on deep philosophical issues that you value, etc etc.

If you have a friend and you’d feel comfortable and find it enjoyable to do a lot of the aforementioned activities with that friend, he/she is probably a close friend of yours.

If you had a blast playing some games with one of your friends and then tried to have some deep talk while drinking and found out that it just didn’t work out, he’s probably just a middlingly close friend.

You get the idea. Pretty simple but effective way to gauge friendships I think.

come to think of it

It has been contested many times that the sexually-proactive male and female being viewed in different light is sexist. There is also the popular saying that a key that unlocks every lock is a master key, but a lock that gets unlocked by every key is a shitty lock.

Even around me, guys think its a virtue to be able to “꼬셔” a girl and eventually get her to sleep with them. (Bonus points if it happens on the same day.)

Girls, however, need to keep their sexual activities a tightly guarded secret lest they be labeled as whores. I know that among close friends girls do discuss sexual activities as eagerly as a cohort of guys, but that doesn’t count obviously. A guy’s first reaction when he hears that a guy friend of his has had 17 sexual partners in the past 2 years will be: “I need to be closer friends with him so I can learn from this pussy-magnet!” If he hears the same thing about his female friend: “What a WHORE. I need to get all up in that and take a piece of that cake myself!” or something.

This is innately unfair, obviously, and many explanations for this phenomenon have been given such as males being respected for being able to spread their seed and ensure survival of his offspring via multi-thronged penis attacks into many women’s vaginas, male sexuality expression being generally more acceptable in society than that of female’s, etc.

Even though I’m rambling about this stupid shit, I cannot say that I’m not guilty of this double standard myself. If (BIG IF GUYS COMEON) I were somewhat successful at getting into attractive women’s panties, I’d probably flaunt that ability 24/7. But, if I were a girl, I’d probably be reeeeal careful about whose penis I let into my treasure chest. Is it just due to the society and its paradigms? Is this the way it should be? Do whores have more sexual appeal than non-whores or is it just their willingness that makes it easier? Should guys be considered man-whores or should they instead be rewarded for the hard work they go through just to get their dicks wet?

Please leave your opinions in the comments below (I don’t actually expect any of you to respond to such vulgar and uncouth matters lest you be exposed for the pervert you are)
